Botanical Garden
We visited the Garfield Park Botanical Gardens today. It was suggested by a friend and was a great way to spend another cold day. We pretended we were in the tropics and the kids were cracking me up throughout our "tour".
Drew repeatedly said, "ooh , I love it in the....what's that big thing called?...Oh yeah the tropics." Nora was immediately attracted to the water. She knelt down in her tights (bad outfit choice) and kept splashing in it. Then she began lifting her leg over the side as if to jump in. Drew and I would both reach for her at the same time. I reassured Drew that I would take care of her and he responded, "Oh, I'm going to take care of her too Mom." Very reminiscent of Sacco (very matter of fact like). Drew also showed some grandmotherly types where they could find the gold fish. They were all cooing over my sweet little ones. We are beginning to get to the ages where both kids can enjoy outings like these and that makes me one happy mama!
